  • The El Segundo Boulevard Improvement Project will start the pavement rehabilitation process on March 21, 2024. The repaving activity will take place on El Segundo Blvd. between Illinois Street and Isis Avenue, and  is expected to take approximately 1-month to complete, weather permitting.  The pavement repair is not a typical pavement overlay that occurs on most projects and will require repairs to the structural base of the roadway.  Due to this process, some lanes will need to be closed for longer periods of time.  At least one lane will remain open at all times in all directions.

  • The City is continually working on the traffic signal flow, as the traffic signals have been affected by the design upgrades on this project.  The traffic signals will be fully restored once the project is completed.  Commuters should expect delays and consider taking alternative routes.  Please exercise caution and patience while on the roadways.
